Archived News Blog Hey Ydoc! Friday Did Not Friday It Up! 2010-12-24 | by: Ydoc Nameloc Hey folks, just wanted to stop in and let you guys know that there will be no quiz this week. Things have just been too busy around here for us to be able to get around to it, but we will return to the regular schedule next week starting with Stuff Weekly on Tuesday. That said, Happy Holidays everyone! The Gifts We Get For The Holidays...and Ydoc Sings 2010-12-13 | by: Ydoc Nameloc Welcome! I really meant to update about a week ago, but I suppose I got lazy about it. So what crazy stuff has been happening around the YNIN world? Well, quite a bit actually. First, we have started another big VS series in This Week In The Apocalypse and this time we are pitting humanity against notable video game villains. This happens to be the most fun of the vs series for me personally. It will also likely be the last big multi-parter that we will have. Next we have what is the most important bit of news. Our TWIA cohost, Glenn Shaffer, and his wife are now proud new parents to a beautiful baby girl. She is a sweet and adorable little bundle of happiness that has lifted the entire mood around the place. So, we may not have Glenn around for a few weeks while he gets this dad thing under control, but we will happily bring him back in due time. Also, in a related note, Amby has created the baby-name quiz in honor of the whole thing. Next-up, I have a link to offer up for you guys that are fans of the webcomic VG Cats. A year ago, our friend Edwyn put together a series which was essentially a bunch of motion comic versions of Scoot Ramsoomair's work. A lot of the voice actors from around the web put a ton of work into dubbing it and they all turned out pretty good. It was even featured on the site's front page at least once. So how does that play into YNIN? Well, Nikki and I voiced over a few characters in the series. A year ago, we did a Christmas special. My normal characters of Pantsman and a dad from The Sims were featured, but mostly I was the jazzy singer of Frosty the Snowman at the end. Edwyn chimes in with me as the song gets creepier and creepier. So, if you want to watch the whole thing, here you go! If you want to just catch the song, skip to about 6 minutes into the video. Your Epic Test of Mousey Knowledge 2010-11-26 | by: Ydoc Nameloc So, as you may have noticed for the last five weeks, we have been really testing your childhood knowledge. Well, today is the last day for us to do that...for a while anyway. When I first signed Amby on to be our primary quiz producer, she had always had this plan to make some kind of epic Disney...thing since that has been a major part of her life for as long as she can remember. Well with a new Disney classic in the wings, it seemed like now was the best time to go ahead with that. In honor of Tangled's release, we end the epic Disney series and offer a little prize for those of you who did well. If you manage to make a 90% (Know it ALL) or above (Genius) on all five quizzes while signed into your account, you'll be presented with the Happily Ever After badge. Enjoy! Theme Reverted 2010-11-09 | by: Ydoc Nameloc Hey folks! October is over and thus ends your chance at the Halloween 2010 badge. With that, the theme has changed back over to the classic look. That said, you can change it back to the darker look with pumpkin headed Cody in the upper left by going to your profile, click "edit profile" and then change the look in the "extra details" tab. That is really all there is to say, I suppose. Have a good November! Blog Archive Note: Log in to your YNIN account to comment. |
